Mrs. Cope completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with distinction (Phi Beta Kappa) and earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina Van Hecke-Wettach School of Law where she served as editor on the North Carolina Law Review.  Mrs. Cope’s legal background and experience make her uniquely qualified to handle your legal matter.  Prior to founding the Cope Law Firm, Mrs. Cope’s legal experience ranged from working as a business litigation associate at one of the largest firms in Atlanta to honing her litigation skills at a small insurance defense firm.

Mrs. Cope’s clients have spanned a broad spectrum—from Fortune 100 companies to individual clients faced with criminal charges.  Thus, she is well-suited to handle your legal matter—big or small.

Mrs. Cope’s diverse litigation experience includes successfully representing major automobile manufacturers in product liability and breach of warranty lawsuits as well as representing major insurers in personal injury matters in courts throughout Alabama, South Carolina and Georgia, including the Supreme Court of Georgia.  As an insurance defense attorney, she worked closely with insurance companies to defend personal injury matters including injuries arising out of automobile accidents, slip and fall accidents and injuries caused by defective products.  This experience has allowed her to work directly with the insurance companies’ adjusters in defense of personal injury matters.  Therefore, as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, she understands how insurance companies handle these claims and is uniquely qualified to get the best result for her clients who have been injured due to someone else’s negligence.   Mrs. Cope’s experience also includes handling criminal and traffic matters which range from minor traffic offenses to major felonies.  Her trial experience has equipped her with the tools to be able to competently handle your case from inception through trial and the appellate process if necessary.

Mrs. Cope is also a Certified Contract Advisor through the National Football League Players Association.  This certification enables her to utilize her negotiation and contract interpretation skills to obtain the best contract for prospective and veteran athletes.  She has brought together a team which offers full-service representation to cater to an athlete’s every need so that he can focus on playing football.  Mrs. Cope’s background as a lawyer also enables her to provide legal services for her clients off the football field.

When Mrs. Cope is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, playing and watching sports, and traveling.  Mrs. Cope resides in Stone Mountain with her husband, Robin, and her sons Robin, Jr., and Dustin.
